This was a logo and branding design project for a private group of Dr.’s in East Los Angeles, California. They work predominately with the Latino and Hispanic community in LA and were looking for a logo and color scheme that hinted at their patient’s cultural heritage yet remained somewhat traditional to the medical field.
I always consider intended audiences, usage, client demographics and the ‘personalities of color’ before designing any logo.
I researched many other medical group design and logo trends before creating this letterform symbol from the main typeface that resembled an ancient Aztec design as well as a group of people coming together. (See the heads and shoulders?)
The typeface is custom, clean and modern and the 2-color scheme is a beautiful burnt orange, referencing the vibrant colors of the South Americas, yet still staying subtle. The charcoal grey color implies stability, neutrality and calm.
This logo coverts easily to black or white, depending on the design project.
