Hello!
I’m Rachelle Dupree—a graphic designer, illustrator, media marketer and experienced business professional. This site contains my current portfolio of work, including recently published articles and commercial designs. I currently split my time freelancing for various design clients and working as Communications and Marketing Director for Vivoderm, a Los Angeles-based natural skincare company. I have had primary control of all design elements for this brand since its start in 2009, including: logo, packaging, websites, blogs, social media and all collateral designs. I believe consistency in style is key—especially when it comes to branding. I believe good design should be easily understood. It should clearly communicate a message, serve a purpose and appeal to it’s intended audience. I also believe really good design should be timeless, can be humorous and should strive to be memorable.
I am usually drawn to color pallets and textures found in the natural world incorporating organic materials and styles. My overall aesthetic is to combine those natural elements with clean, modern lines, lots of white space and pops of color. I am especially drawn to 3D art installations and works made from natural or found/everyday objects—such as feathers, drift wood, paper, clothespins, etc. I hope to continue more work in the future in this direction. I am deeply inspired by artists like sculptor Andy Goldsworthy and the amazing crafters who create the Anthropologie storefront window displays; taking everyday objects and transforming them into something never before imagined.
